Maruti Suzuki Cervo Overview


Maruti Suzuki India recently, stopped the production of the iconic Maruti 800 small car in India. During that time, the Indian automaker had stated that a new small car to replace the Maruti 800 will be rolled out in the Indian market soon - hinting at the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Cervo small car. 

It was back in 2012, when Maruti Suzuki officials has commented that the company is considering the possibility of launching the Cervo in the Indian market to compete in the small car segment. However, post that no official movement have been made by the company in the said matter.

Now however, as per fresh reports, it is again speculated that the Cervo could make its way into the Indian market and will be powered by a 660cc 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is said to deliver a fuel efficiency of 25 kmpl. 

If the Maruti Suzuki Cervo ever makes it into the Indian market, it will compete with the likes ofHyundai Eon, Tata Nano and the Datsun Go.
