Maruti Suzuki Ignis Specifications Revealed, India Debut at 2016 Auto Expo

Maruti Suzuki Ignis sub-compact SUV is all-set make its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo that will be held from 5th to 9th February in Greater Noida. The mini SUV has already been launched in Japanese market within the price range of 1.382 million Yen (Rs. 8 lakh) – 1.778 million Yen (Rs. 10.29 lakh). While, the India launch will take place in the second half of 2016.
Similar to the Baleno premium hatchback, this mini SUV will be manufactured in India with high-level of localization. The company might also export the vehicle to other Middle East Asian countries. According to reports, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis might be sold via the company’s premium Nexa dealerships. Just so you know, the vehicle first broke cover in 2015 at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Maruti Ignis Launch Date
Since Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the Vitara Brezza sub-compact SUV in April 2016, the Ignis will come in the second half of the year (during the festive season). Though, the company hasn’t yet revealed the launch date of the vehicle.
Maruti Ignis Price
The manufacturer will price the vehicle competitively against its rivals – i.e. Ford EcoSport and Mahindra KUV100. It might be offered within the price bracket of Rs. 4 lakh – Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
